The Personal and Private Garden Tour takes your Mayfield experience to a whole new level…
Picked up from local accommodation in Bathurst & Oberon, on arrival a personal tour around the Hawkins’ Family Garden, plus areas that cannot be viewed during seasonal festivals!
You will be served a private lunch by our esteemed Mayfield Chef in The Glass House. Following lunch, walk through the Hawkins Family Private Japanese Garden. Before you leave, you’ll stop into the Cafe & Nursery Produce Store so you can take a piece of Mayfield home with you!
It will be a day you’ll never forget and a life-experience which should be on everyone’s bucket list.
July 2nd until July 17th 2021
The full 65-hectare Private Garden will be open at this time. Visitors to the garden will get to explore the entire 65 hectares of Mayfield.
You can get lost in the traditional English inspired Maze, see the Croquet Lawn, the Hawkins’ Family Chapel, the Chook Hilton, the 80-metre Cascade & Temple and much more. Being a cool climate garden, we feature many varieties of deciduous trees which offer an array of Autumn colors.
Mayfield is a large outside space where you, your family and friends can escape and benefit from some tranquility and beauty, surrounded by nature – all things that are much needed during these unsettling times.
There is lots of room for many people to wander comfortably, and plenty of little nooks and corners in the garden for families and groups to share a BYO picnic.
SPRING OPEN GARDEN
Our Annual Spring Festival is on from 24th September until 23rd October 2022
See 65 hectares including the Mayfield Maze during our Spring Open Garden. The Hawkins Family Garden is open for the public, so this is your opportunity to explore all of Mayfield. Not only is the English inspired Mayfield Maze open, but you can see the Croquet Court, the Hawkins’ Family Chapel, the Chook Hilton, the 80-metre Cascade & Temple and much more. Take one of our rowboats out on Mayfield Lake (at no additional cost) or play one of our interactive games with your family and friends – these are scattered throughout the garden.
