Enter through the family’s private entrance and view the private areas normally not open outside of festival events. You will be served a private lunch including Mayfield’s signature ‘Communal Feast’ in The Glass House. It will be a day you’ll never forget and a life-experience which should be on everyone’s bucket list.
MAYFIELD SCULPTURE GARDEN by THE TALISMAN GALLERY
Ron Fitzpatrick and the Talisman Gallery are renowned for their beautiful metal work. The sculptures made from metal and glass and supported by sandstone blocks are the focus of this pop-up installation throughout Mayfield’s Outdoor Nursery and also feature some of the Nursery’s cool-climate plants. Each one is available for purchase, and make a great centrepiece for your garden. The small glass ornaments, also by Ron Fitzpatrick and the Talisman Gallery creative team, make a great gift this holiday season.
FREE Entry to the Sculpture Garden. Open between 7 December 2018 and 31 January 2019 (Closed 25- 26 December) from 9 am to 4:30 pm and all works and plants on display are available for purchase.
July 6-21 2019
Explore beyond Mayfield Garden and see areas of the Hawkins’ Family Garden up to the Parterre. In winter, the bluestone masonry becomes the star – all the bluestone is quarried nearby, hand cut, and hand laid by Mayfield’s own stonemasons.
October 05-27, 2019
See 65 hectares including the Mayfield Maze during the 22-day Spring Festival. The Hawkins Family Garden is open for the public, so this is your opportunity to explore all of Mayfield. Not only is the English inspired Mayfield Maze open, but you can see the Croquet Court, the Hawkins’ Family Chapel, the Chook Hilton, the 80-metre Cascade & Temple and much more. Take one of our rowboats out on Mayfield Lake (at no additional cost) or play one of our interactive games with your family and friends – these are scattered throughout the garden. IT’s even easier to see it all with our courtesy hop-on-hop-off bus which will be making several stops around the garden.
