A spectacular 65-hectare private garden that delivers not only a significant horticultural experience but also a day out that is both magical and unexpected.
Mayfield Garden is considered to be one of the the largest and most spectacular cool climate gardens in the Southern Hemisphere.
Mayfield is Australia’s largest privately-owned, cool climate garden. It remains a living legacy of the Hawkins family who took much of their inspiration for this project from several of Europe’s most significant horticultural destinations.
Mayfield Garden has also recently announced that it is opening its full 65-hectare garden every day, commencing in 2024, which means you can visit our maze, chapel, stumpery, aviary, garden rooms and every other feature across the garden anytime you walk through the gate at Mayfield.
We think it is an exciting milestone in the evolution of Mayfield Garden, and it puts us in synch with all other major horticultural destinations throughout the world
Visitors can also enjoy a unique regional dining experience at Mayfield’s garden restaurant, and it also offers a luxurious glamping experience during its Spring, Autumn and Summer festivals.
Located on the NSW Central Tablelands, Mayfield Garden is a two to three hour drive from Sydney and a 75-minute drive from Katoomba, through the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains.
